Audit Officer

Overview

Dantata Town Developers Limited is looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Audit Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of post-NYSC experience, with a strong background in financial and operational auditing. The Audit Officer will be responsible for evaluating internal controls, identifying potential risks, and ensuring compliance with the company policies and statutory regulations.

Specific Skills

Professional certifications such as ICAN, ACCA, or CIA will be an advantage, and a student of these bodies can also be considered.
Strong knowledge of audit principles, risk management, and internal controls.
Proficiency in the use of accounting software and MS Office.
Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
High level of integrity and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Conduct financial and operational audits to ensure the effectiveness of internal controls and compliance with company policies.
Evaluate the accuracy and completeness of financial records and reports.
Identify areas of risk within operations and recommend actionable solutions.
Ensure adherence to statutory regulations and internal policies across all departments.
Review and ensure the accuracy of financial and management reports.
Collaborate with other departments to improve overall governance and compliance.
Prepare detailed audit reports highlighting findings, risks, and recommendations.
Present audit findings to management and work with relevant teams to address any discrepancies or issues.
Conduct risk assessments and identify controls to mitigate those risks.
Monitor and report on areas of potential financial and operational risk.
Assist in the development and implementation of audit procedures and policies.
Maintain up-to-date documentation for audit work performed and results obtained.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of post-NYSC audit experience, especially in a real estate and construction environment.
